Some Sort of Love Ebook Cover

On the surface, I have it all—a career I adore, a loving family, the Nixon metabolism but not the Nixon ears, and a salary that supports my lavish taste in designer shoes, fine wine, and lacy lingerie…but I have no one to share it with.

Until the day I run into him—my one night stand from college with the cocky smile, let’s-get-out-of-here eyes, and dirty, dirty mouth.

Levi Brooks is six feet four inches of hot bearded fantasy. A sexy single dad with broad shoulders, strong hands, and a fantastically big…heart. (I mean, it’s massive. And generous. And it pumps so hard… um. Sorry. Lost my place.)

But he lives for his son, and he’s keeping me at a distance because he thinks I deserve someone better—a man who can give me more time, more attention, more of himself. He doesn’t believe he could ever be enough.

But he’s wrong.

He’s everything.

Why? Oh, Why? Is this the last book in the series. Some Sort Of Love is the final book in the Happy Crazy Love Series and now I can’t bare the thought of not knowing more about the Nixon Sisters and the things that make their world swoon. Without even realising it, these stories and characters have imbedded themselves in my skin and emotionally I am invested in their tears, their smiles and their happy ever afters.

Some Sort of Love is Jillian’s book. With the spotlight on the only unattached sister, the oldest Nixon sister starts to feel the pressure of being single. Her sisters are very much in love and with breeding on the horizon the question on everyone’s lips is
“When is it your turn?”. Attending her sister, Skylar’s wedding, Jillian does her best to appear cool, calm, collected and not at all jealous. Also attending the wedding is Levi Brooks. Out of his house, without his 8 year old son, for the first time months, meeting Jillian Nixon is everything he didn’t know he needed.

As they embark on a passionate and intense rollercoaster, both Jillian and Levi fall hard and fast. With every secret revealed, layers and layers of insecurities are brought to the surface. Melanie Harlow perfectly captures the honesty, the pain and the electrifying attraction between Jillian and Levi, whilst using a stellar collection of secondary characters to deliver the warmth and love that only family and happiness can provide.

Some Sort Of Love is a great conclusion to this series. Even though Harlow centres book three around Jillian, the familiarity readers have with the other characters, solidifies the importance of these story lines and the connection felt by all. Not only does Melanie Harlow flawlessly incorporate the values of family and importance of love in this series, but the depth that her characters portray make this series memorable and impressive.

Melanie Harlow likes her martinis dry, her heels high, and her history with the naughty bits left in. When she’s not reading good books, she gets her kicks from TV series like Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Masters of Sex, Deadwood, Mad Men, and Downtown Abbey (although she wishes it were more HBO and less PBS).

Melanie is the author of the FRENCHED contemporary romance series (FRENCHED, YANKED, FORKED, FLOORED) and the sexy historical series SPEAK EASY (SPEAK EASY, SPEAK LOW), set in the 1920s.

She lifts her glass to romance readers and writers from her home near Detroit, MI, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
