Maybe there’s only one direction to go when two people fall
in love at rock bottom—up.
I wanted to jump. He made me fall.
As a celebrity, I lived in the public eye, but somewhere along the way, I’d lost myself in the spotlight.
Until he found me.
Sam Rivers was a gorgeous, tattooed stranger who saved my life with nothing more than a simple conversation.
But we were both standing on that bridge for a reason the night we met. The secrets of our pasts brought us together—and then tore us apart.
Could we find a reason to hold on as life constantly pulled us down?
Or maybe there’s only one direction to go when two people fall in love at rock bottom—up.
I am a HUGE Aly Martinez fan, so when The Fall Up was announced, my excitement was palpable. Reading it in one sitting allowed me to devour and absorb the content of the story line. Sharing in the highs, the lows and everything in between, The Fall Up is a love story that that demands attention and will be remembered always.
As the story is shrouded with seriousness and sadness, Martinez shows off her creativity as she brings to life a soul mate connection that oozes light and flourishes against all odds. Meeting in the most bizarre circumstances Levee and Sam face their own personal living hell in order to be happy, healthy and together. From different walks of life Levee and Sam battle with judgement, their pasts, their dreams for the future and their undeniable chemistry.
The Fall Up has been written with such dedication and honesty, that the delicate topics of mental heath and suicide are woven into the story line perfectly. Knowing the importance of having a story that people can relate to – The Fall Up gives hope and a promise of tomorrow.
With memorable main characters Aly Martinez shows that sometimes roses can grow from concrete. Through Sam and Levee readers will recognise that the hardest thing is accepting help and being open to change. Once you open your heart and mind, happiness is endless.
“I’d like to struggle with you.”
