#TalkShitThursday – HOW TO TACKLE YOUR TBR LIST

Peeps!

This weeks #TalkShitThursday will be short.

I have been occasionally feeling, that between blogging and my real world duties I am not actually reading as much as I used to… And this breaks my heart. Which bothers me but then it doesn’t.(Let me Explain)

I love blogging and love everything it has lead me too but it has increased my To Be Read list to something so unattainable, I just laugh hysterically when I think of ever getting through it.

What’s wrong with that you say?

Well for me, any list with a heading starting with the word ‘To’ means it needs to get done and I am not doing anything. I am not crossing off any books – and it is definitely spiking my anxiety. Being in the blogging world gives me a direct link to almost every single release day for my favourite books. That means on average I am adding 4 books to my TBR list daily. In other words, I am sitting on about 1000000 that need to be read.

Any who, I digress!

In order to tackle my TBR I decided to introduce Mini-Mentions into my blog. This is for mini reviews for all the books I read that I either read for leisure or do not want to extensively review. This will allow me to still maintain blog participation/interaction and author/reader interaction which I think is very important but also HOPEFULLY creates a way that I can start tackling my TBR list.

I welcome anybody to adopt this idea into their own blog and hopefully it works. I will do this with the intention to still be committed to our blogs and fulfil our love for books. Hopefully this helps us all tackle our MASSIVE TBR list.

Much Love

V

xx

(Sorry if this post seems scattered; I am kind of feeling that way this Thursday)

Mini reviews are always a great way to tackle your TBR. I’ve seen a lot of blogs do it, and it becomes kinda essential after a while, when you have no time in your blog schedule to fit in all the reviews!
Great idea Vivian! I hope it works out well for you!:)

I’ve been thinking about adding mini reviews to my own blog as well. Sometimes I just don’t feel like writing so much about a book. I will probably start this sometime soon 😉 Hope it works out for you. 😀
