By T.M. Frazier
“I AM THE JURY, I AM THE JUDGE. AND IF NEED BE, I AM THE MOTHERFUCKING EXECUTIONER.”
The wait is over, T.M. Frazier’s anticipated new novel KING has arrived and with no doubt will be making some noise. If you have read Frazier’s previous work, you will remember the introduction of King at the end of Dark Needs. With eagerness and excitement Frazier has introduced us to the sexy, commanding, notorious and dangerous man; KING
The book is centered around two main characters; King and Doe. Through Frazier’s amazing abilities, their honest, raw & brutal journey comes to life. The dual perspective in this novel allows for the reader to be completely immersed and captivated by the story. We – as the reader, drown ourselves in the emotions of King and Doe, we soon realize that it has been hours and we haven’t, nor have we wanted to, come up for air. Engrossed in the fog of Frazier’s words; every cell of your body is ignited, feeling the pain, passion and rage that the story of King has to offer.
Meet The King of the Causeway, released from a three-year stint in jail he is left feeling hollow and weary. Upon his return to normal life, King struggles to seamlessly fall back into his old habits. His view on the world has changed and his priorities are shifting. With a new plan in place, King sets about getting all his ducks in a row, in order to achieve his ultimate happiness.
“King was more everything. More intimidating, more scary, more angry…more beautiful.”
Then comes Jane Doe – literally, with no recollection of her name, her age, her past or what her present is/should be; hungry, desperate and homeless we witness Doe’s difficult way of life. In constant danger, Doe battles with the darkness of the world to stay alive.
As a coincidental meeting places them in one another’s lives, they are faced with the unexpected force of love and lust, sweeping them both of their feet. Battling with their inner demons and sharing their secrets, fears and dreams, King and Doe strike up an unlikely, yet perfectly matched relationship. Together they will fight with one another and against others, they will push each other’s personal boundaries and deal with life’s most unexpected surprises.
“King filled me so completely. Not just my body. My heart. My soul. My life. I didn’t give a shit if ever got my memory back. Because with King, I knew exactly who I was. I was his.”
“I’d found myself again in the haunted eyes of a girl who was just as lost as I was. Or maybe we didn’t find each other at all. Maybe, we just decided to be lost together.”
King takes you on a journey through the painful pits of hell and back. With both characters undertaking their own personal journey and witnessing their transformation is the most sobering yet welcome experience. With an extreme amount of baggage and insecurities dealt with by both King and Doe a great story of love, danger, heartache, passion, loss, trauma and betrayal becomes three dimensional. As their relationship evolves the woes of the world seem intent on destroying their second chance at life and their only chance at love.
Will the determination, that has kept them both alive, be enough to keep them together?
“I told her I loved her with each thrust of my hips. I told her I was sorry. I told her I wished she would have my child. I told her everything with sex that I dared not speak out loud. I told her that if things were different that we would be together forever.
T.M. Frazier successfully writes a story that lets the reader feel every smile, every scream & every tear. King is sensational in every way possible. Frazier gives and takes just enough to constantly keep you guessing and after we are left picking up our hearts off the floor, there is no doubt we are anxiously awaiting the next instalment in this series.
